Also called F Low Pygmy.
A little history
The name Pygmy was likely first used for handpans by Panart, who built several Pygmy variations in the first Generation Hang years, 2002 to 2005. The same page says the handpan scale has no direct link to traditional Pygmy music, and calls it one of the most popular handpan scales. This 18 note layout adds bottom shell notes to the F Pygmy core.
How to read a chord card
- The darker colour is the root; the lighter colour, the other chord tones.
- The line under the pan names the notes, root first, with their field numbers.
- Orange U numbers and dashed circles are bottom-shell notes, played from inside the pan.
