D Integral 9 handpan chords
Integral has no G, so the pan has no fourth. Start with the first three cards: play each card's lit notes, then move to the next. The app has 19 chord cards for this scale. New to handpan? Read Handpan 101: how to play a handpan first.
A little history
D Integral is a six-note scale: D, E, F, A, Bb and C. The fourth step, G, is missing. MAG Instruments lists the notes as D / A Bb C D E F A C and calls it one of the earliest handpan scales crafted by PANArt. It names the sound mysterious and introspective. Other makers tune their Integral a little differently, so check the notes on your own pan.
How to read a chord card
- The darker colour is the root; the lighter colour, the other chord tones.
- The line under the pan names the notes, root first, with their field numbers.
